After a morning descent, we travel along the N1 Highway through the spectacular Hex River Valley and arrive at Aquila Private Game Reserve. The biologically diverse Big 5 animals habit at of the reserve offers plenty of interest to avid game watchers and bird watchers. Giraffe, blesbok, black and blue wildebeest, zebra, springbok, gemsbok, klipspringer, duiker, grey buck, steenbok, ostrich, baboon, caracal, fox, jackal, leopard and 172 species of birds, including the black eagle, can be found in the reserve. An experienced game ranger will take you on a game drive. Lunch will be taken at the lodge.
